The worldwide applications showed us that a tight NOX control can be obtained only with the compressed strong air (boosted fan) supplied by the outrageous flammable air (OFA) ducts located on the boiler burners.
The test results show that the air supplied to the boiler by the known OFA ducts leaks throughout the side walls and as a result of that the boiler cannot perform a desired air mixture and bcomes inefficient.
Regulations and improvements must be made.
BOFA causes the pulverized coal in the boiler to burn at lower temperatures and therefore causes the value of NOX emitted to the atmosphere to decrease. Again based on the test results, it is proved that BOFA decreases the NOX value by 40%-60% according to the current OFA. This means a lower consumption of ammonia and urea in energy power plants.
Nevertheless, these systems must be evaluated by international experts in terms of like efficiency, reliability and unburned carbon ratios and implemented.
BOFA advantages
- The most economical solution in decreasing the NOX emissions
- A decrease of 40%-60% in NOX values (based on the system configuration)
- More than 90% of the assembly possiblity when the system is running
- Easy assembly and adaptation to the current OFA systems
- Decrease of the stratification of the oxygen and temperature at the boiler exit with a more general and sensitive mixture.
- Lower boiler exit temperatures
- Decrease of complicated burning and unburned carbon ratios
- Reliable boiler efficiency
